We are looking for designers who are having an interest in fashion and textiles, and an understanding of trends and materials and also responsible for creating the patterns, prints and colours for our products.
Textile designers may also have an active role in product development. This might include working with marketing teams to develop new product lines or concepts or it could involve collaborating directly with engineers to design prototypes of new textile based products.We are looking to expand our table linens and bath linens collections. Also we are working to launch our own cotton and linen dress linens.
You will have an opportunity to learn
- Market Reasearch
- producing sketches, designs and samples
- making up sets of sample designs
- accurately interpreting and representing clients ideas
- Working out design formule for a group of samples
- Assessing and approving completed items and production standards
- using specialist software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs to develop a range of design
- maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology
- developing new design concepts
- Keeping up to date and spotting fashion trends in fabric design
- understanding and getting experience of using different textile processes and techniques
- getting experience in designing skills and the ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages
